How it went: Tribal Chic 2015 #TribalChic2015

This year, Tribal Chic took place on Friday 23 January 2015 hosted by the Tribe Hotel, produced by FA254 and presented by Susan Wong and Annabelle Onyango. The event offers exposure to major designers not only within Kenya but across the East African region hence embracing the hotel’s belief, “One planet, One Tribe.” With the glass lit catwalk, Tribal Chic was the first fashion event of the year and has definitely set the bar high. The proceeds went to FA254 whose mission is to discover and promote new talents in order to rebrand Africa through young and creative minds. Their vision is to celebrate contemporary African richness and creativity. The seven established and new designers that showcased were Adèle Dejak, Kondakis (Nike Kondakis & Christina Wilson), Katungulu Mwendwa, Deepa Dosaja, Anthony Mulli (Jiamini), Niku Singh and Anne Mpinga (Kipusa).

We decided to piece together the buzz prior leading to the event and how it went from those who were there, spoke about it during and after. Check it out.
