Teta Isibo is the brain behind the Inzuki Designs brand. Initially starting with designing earrings, her hobby soon turned into a fully-fledged business selling handmade jewelry, accessories and interior décor. Inzuki Designs is a Rwandese brand launched in 2010, which fuses traditional craftsmanship with contemporary bold designs.
Inzuki means bees, which, as Teta explains reflects the attitude of the brand. “It’s an attitude, like a sweet but fierce attitude; the way bees give honey so they have that sweet aspect, but then you can’t really mess with them because they would sting you.” [read full CNN interview in Inzuki Designs feature on African Startup].
